“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20

Hebrews 10:24-25
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Too often it can be difficult to find Bible believing, Bible preaching churches. Our goal here at East Side Baptist is to please the Lord Jesus Christ and serve Him in the way He has set forth in Scripture. We understand that what people really need and are looking for is an authentic faith.
"O magnify the Lord with me,
And let us exalt His name together. Psalm 34:3"
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:1"
"Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2"
"Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 1 John 4:11"

The purpose of East Side Baptist Church is to glorify God by following Jesus' leadership in sharing the gospel with the lost in order to lead them to Christ, to disciple them in becoming witnesses, and to train them in leadership and Christian living.
East Side Baptist Church began as Brookhaven Missionary Baptist on October 14, 1924 with 24 members. After the town of Brookhaven into the Fort Hood reservation the church moved to Killeen where it was decided to change its name to East Side Baptist Church. In 1952 East Side purchased its first building and had it moved and rebuilt on Rancier, Holding its first service on Dec 13, 1953. After significant growth and a focus on evangelism the church purchased eight and a half acres on W.S. Young Drive and a new building was built and has been used ever since.
If you are not currently attending a church and/or are looking for one, we would love for you to join us! We understand it can be anxiety inducing to come to a place you've never been before.
If you submit a plan your visit we will do what we can to reduce the uncertainty by pairing you with a person or family that can show you around the church, help you get any children checked in, and answer questions you may have.
